This vintage clay pitcher with dark glaze draws its character from the contrast between the matt body and the glossy upper section. Light catches the rim and handle, leaving the throwing marks and variations in the clay visible. Its silhouette has enough presence to decorate a shelf or console on its own.

It is a piece of handmade Spanish pottery, with an expression familiar from everyday objects that have remained in homes for generations. Alongside natural wood, unbleached linen or a limewashed wall, it introduces a dark accent without making the composition feel severe.

Why we chose this pitcher

We are drawn to the irregular transition between clay and glaze, which makes the handwork visible. The side handle breaks the symmetry of the body and brings movement to an arrangement of books, trays or low vessels.
