Hello! I'm Rosario Linares, founder of Matuta Home. Due to my background in psychology, I've always been interested in the factors that influence our emotional state, and I firmly believe in the power of spaces to influence our well-being. I'm fascinated by how certain places can convey calm, serenity, and a deep sense of connection, especially when they remind us of nature or connect us with it.
In my search for each piece, I am guided by four essential pillars: authenticity, aesthetic harmony, quality, and the object's message. I always seek beauty, even in the most functional elements, ensuring they bring balance to the space. For me, natural and sustainable materials are essential because they connect us to the earth and reinforce our essence. Each piece I select must have a timeless design, with personality, and I greatly value objects that tell a story or have unique cultural value.
My love for antiques has deep roots. My great-great-grandfather, Abelardo Linares García, was the first antique dealer in the family, a pioneer in Spain who opened his first shop in Granada and expanded his legacy to several cities. My grandfather, the third Abelardo Linares, continued this tradition, and my childhood homes were filled with unique pieces steeped in history. The presence of these objects instilled in me a love for vintage and authentic items that defines Matuta Home today.

How did Matuta Home come about?
It all began with Casa del Berro, where we renovated a home in a historic neighborhood with the help of the architecture studio Jiménez & Linares. This house represented a unique opportunity to bring our vision to life: to create a space where calm and authenticity could be found in every corner.
Our concept has evolved to transcend mere decoration. At Matuta Home, we've expanded our universe to offer a selection of pieces that enhance every aspect of everyday life, from vintage furniture to designer jewelry, handbags, stationery, and sustainable lifestyle products. We believe that beauty should be present in every corner of our lives, from decorative objects to the most practical. Even a toolbox can be both beautiful and functional, because surrounding yourself with beauty makes you feel good.
Located at 33 Libertad Street in the Chueca neighborhood, we aim to offer our customers a unique experience, where each piece has a purpose and a story. In addition to our store, we also offer interior design services, creating spaces that inspire calm and harmony and reflect the personality and essence of those who live there.
Matuta Home is a tribute to family tradition, innovation, and beauty in every aspect of life.
