Description
This washed canvas wall tapestry transforms the wall into a textile and tactile surface. Stonewashing softens the fiber and creates a slightly lived-in look, while panels, cut shapes, or hand-stitched seams build an abstract composition. The relief and small irregularities make the piece change with the light and be perceived differently depending on the distance.
It can be placed above a sideboard, next to a reading area, or in a bedroom. Its palette dialogues with wood, stone, clay, linen, and furniture from different eras, and provides warmth without relying on a figurative image. Lorena Canals' handmade craftsmanship leaves variations in cut, tone, and drape that are part of its identity. The included hanging systems facilitate installation and maintain a light presence on the wall.
Why we chose this tapestry
We chose it as an alternative to the conventional painting, because it provides volume and texture without hardening the space. We like the visible construction and the way the washed finish softens the composition. It is a piece with presence, but serene enough to coexist with ceramics, photographs, objects, and furniture of different styles.
