Pearlescent lampshades

These pearlescent lampshades bring a texture of soft reflections to table lighting. The cream tone changes with the light, and the shape widening towards the base gives the ensemble a sense of lightness. Small variations give the surface interest without relying on a printed pattern.

Their finish evokes the decorative arts tradition of using the sheen of mother-of-pearl to enrich small objects and surfaces. Here, that ornamental reference creates a warm aesthetic that fits naturally into a coastal-inspired bedroom or an eclectic living room. The interest lies in the reflections and texture rather than in an added pattern.

Why we chose this piece

We chose them for the ease with which their finish can complement a calm arrangement. In a bedroom or living room, they work with plain ceramic or wooden bases and natural fabrics. We like the contrast between the pearlescent sheen and a matt wall: it allows the shade to stand out without making the corner overly shiny. Earth tones and unbleached linen extend their warmth.
