This handmade ceramic table lamp with tufted cotton shade from Bed and Philosophy — âme philo collection — combines a ceramic base, shaped and enameled in Portugal, with a tufted flammé cotton and wool shade that creates an irregular texture and warm light, ideal for living rooms and bedrooms. The integrated brass dimmer allows for adjustable intensity. At 64 cm tall, each piece features unique handmade variations in the fabric and the texture of the base.

Why we chose this lamp

Because the tufted flammé cotton on a hand-shaped ceramic base made in Portugal possesses a materiality that industrial lamps cannot replicate: the irregular texture of the tufting diffuses light with a very special softness, and the handmade ceramic base gives the piece a sculptural presence whether on or off.
