About Asterisque
Asterisque is the space where Estefanía, the artist behind these pieces, gives free rein to her imagination. Through her dreams, she visualises invented phrases, unreal landscapes, unseen colours and textures yet to be discovered, all of which she expresses in her ceramic creations. Like the asterisk, a symbol that suggests the hypothetical and the unattainable, Asterisque celebrates what is not, what could be, and what is yet to be discovered.
Her creative process began on the shores of the Spanish Mediterranean and led her to places as singular as Cabo de Gata in Almería, where she found inspiration in the wild landscape and the fossil dunes caressed by the wind. Each piece is a way of exploring the world, a reflection of the artist's deep connection with her surroundings.
Material: Stoneware and paper porcelain slip.
