Description

This ethnic-inspired washable rug brings back the language of nomadic textiles through geometric patterns, textures, and an earthy color palette. The artisanal crafting results in slight variations in weave, tone, and contour, adding depth and avoiding an industrial appearance. The design retains traditional references but is interpreted with a simple and contemporary approach.

Depending on its proportions, it can be used in a living room, bedroom, entrance, or children's room. It pairs well with wood, stone, linen, leather, ceramics, and plant fibers, and can connect furniture and objects from different eras. Its washable nature facilitates daily use, allowing the rug to be a true part of the home. As with Lorena Canals' pieces, the slight irregularities are a result of manual work and are part of each unit's identity.

We chose it because it adds history and texture without turning the room into a themed composition. We are interested in how the design and material interact with antique pieces and contemporary design. It is a base with character, yet versatile enough to accompany a home that is built little by little and gathers objects, memories, and materials from different origins.
