Description
This ethnic-inspired washable rug retrieves the language of nomadic textiles through geometric patterns, reliefs, and an earth-toned palette. Its artisanal craftsmanship results in slight variations in weave, tone, and outline, which add depth and avoid an industrial appearance. The design retains traditional references but is interpreted with a simple and contemporary reading.
Depending on its proportions, it can be used in a living room, bedroom, entryway, or children's space. It pairs well with wood, stone, linen, leather, ceramics, and natural fibers, and can connect furniture and objects from different eras. Its washable nature facilitates daily use and allows the rug to be a real part of the home. As with Lorena Canals' pieces, the slight irregularities are a result of manual work and are part of each unit's identity.
Why we chose this rug
We chose it because it brings history and texture without turning the room into a themed composition. We are interested in how the pattern and material dialogue with antique pieces and contemporary design. It is a base with character, yet versatile enough to accompany a home that is built little by little and gathers objects, memories, and materials from different origins.
