Textured cotton cushion with a checkerboard weave

This textured cotton cushion with a checkerboard weave reveals a pattern formed by the relief of the fabric. Raised and recessed areas create a checkerboard that gives a sofa or bed depth without a contrasting print. Plain surfaces nearby make the texture easier to read.

Why we chose this cushion

We chose it for the construction of the surface itself. A pale bedspread and linen throw vary the fabrics so each remains distinct. Keeping a smooth area around the cushion provides space to appreciate the checkerboard.
